What I’m Currently…

Using {Passport, cardholder and scarf gifted from my parents from Positano, Italy}

I’m a firm believer on ending the week on the right note in preparation for the weekend. In honor of this I have decided to do weekly “What I’m Currently” posts to wrap up what i’m currently loving, wearing, reading, eating, etc. I think recapping the week in this way will help bring some much-needed relaxation to the weekend. With that said, enjoy my first “what i’m currently”!

Ruffle Trench Coat + Clothing from Abroad

Ruffle Trench: Purchased while abroad in Stockholm, Top: Banana Republic (old), Jeans: Ann Taylor, Shoes: Purchased while abroad in Greece, Bracelet: Ralph Lauren Belt wrapped

Every time I visit a country abroad I make it a point to buy a piece of clothing very indicative of that country. A few years back while abroad in Greece and Stockholm I purchased this trench and these sandals. All of the girls were wearing this trench in Stockholm and though it was a splurge, it is such a unique piece and has lasted for years. These sandals were purchased on a whim while in Santorini, Greece on vacation with some girlfriends. Authentic, leather Greek sandals were something I knew I wanted while visiting but these totally caught my eye and look great under jeans.

Do you purchase clothing or shoes while abroad?

Chocolate Covered Biscotti

Every once in a while I need a little something sweet. I’ll whip up a batch of cupcakes or candy, but have always shyed away from more complicated treets. Biscotti is something that i’ll order every time I grab a tea or coffee, but have never had the guts to make. I followed this recipe previously attempted by Emily of Cupcakes and Cashmere, and it turned out great.

The recipe was deceptively simple and when covered in chocolate, make a delectable, and not too high in calorie, morning snack.

My Mom’s Wardrobe

Top: Mom’s, Belt: Mom’s, Jeans: Banana Republic (old), Wedges: Dolce Vita (old), Ring: Karla Deras x Roman Luxe, Sunglasses: Tory Burch

The moment my mom saw this outfit she immediately said she wore exactly the same thing: bell bottoms, this belt and top, thirty years prior. Luckily she and I are similar in size (and shape!) and her old clothing looks great modernized with some big sunnies and funky jewelry.
