Joie Shift Dress

Joie Shift dress (bought via Nordstrom Rack. More similar options below), Andrew Marc leather jacket (this year’s), Pour la Victoire wedges, Prada sunglasses

A new Nordstrom Rack opened in Union Square a few weeks ago, and after work one day a colleague and I couldn’t help but go check it out. It’s still so new and all of the merchandise is in its proper place, with amazing finds from some really fantastic designers. I spotted this Joie shift dress on the rack and picked it up immediately. The red and daisy print reminds me of my mom in the 70’s so much. I figured immediately that it would be too short, shapeless, or not suitable for my curves but opted to try it on. Much to my delight and surprise, I was immediately obsessed with it.

I love that even though the dress is essentially shapeless, it is still fun and flirty. The pleats give it some added interest, and when paired with nude shoes, my legs actually look thinner and a mile long. I threw on this leather jacket to give some form to the dress, but love it just as much without it.

I have a few belts that would work well with this style, and might play around with a belted option, but for now I can’t wait to pair this with more nude shoes for Spring, and tights and boots as we finish off this cold weather.

As I found this dress at a Nordstrom Rack, here are a few more similar options for your viewing pleasure!

KUT From The Kloth Diana Skinny

Anthropologie sweater, KUT From The Kloth jeans c/o, Seychelles boots (similar for under $100), Necklace from Hunters Alley

KUT sent these jeans to me a few weeks back and honestly, I was a bit hesitant. I heard through the grapevine that they claim to be able to fit anyone’s body, and I was certainly going to put that to the test. I’ve worn these jeans a handful of times and can honestly give a thorough review now that I know how they hold up.

In short, these jeans are so. comfortable. They are super stretchy and hug in all of the right places. They are not quite a full skinny but have a bit of room below the knee, which I appreciate for a scrunched look. One note regarding size: I am wearing a 12 in these pictures but could definitely get away with a 10, and will be ordering a size down in the future.

Just a quickie review of my first pair of KUT jeans. I can’t wait to test out more styles from the brand and review them! Please let me know in the comments below or via email what styles you would like me to try, if any. Thanks for reading!

Layered in Piperlime Jacquard

Andrew Marc leather jacket (this season’s), Forever 21 shirt, Piperlime dress (very similar and under $50), Steve Madden boots, Ray Ban sunglasses

Jennifer called this outfit very “piled on.” In other words, I threw everything on at the same time and it just sort of works. I’m all about layering, and I guess she is right, it just sort of works! This dress is a standout piece and is becoming a fast favorite. I’ve never layered anything on top of it and love that it’s made more casual with a plaid shirt and leather accents. In other news, i’ve literally never worn boots without tights before and i’m diggin’ the cowboy feel!

Thanks so much for reading!

J.Crew Cat-Print Silk Blouse

J.Crew shirt, Nordstrom skirt (similar), Sam Edelman sandals (similar)

I bought this top on major sale at J.Crew and couldn’t love it more. I don’t own a ton of printed tops and this one was so fun, but still neutral enough to pair with a ton of items in my wardrobe. I ordered up to a size 12 as I find J.Crew silk tops to be quite constricting in the arms. The fit of the larger size is great across the bust and arms and I love the subtle drape.

The blues and whites pair so well with my favorite flared skirt from J.Crew. I need to get more of these skirts in my wardrobe asap!

I hope you’re having a wonderful week! And Happy St. Patricks Day!
