Daytime Sequins

J.Crew blazer + sequin top (old), Banana Republic jeans, J.Crew boots, Prada sunglasses, Vintage necklaces

Apologies in advance for the slightly grainy photos. The disgustingly gloomy weather in SF coupled with long work days make taking pictures difficult, and ideal lighting hard to come by. On that same vein, i’m really really not enjoying this whole “Summer is the coldest Winter I ever had” truth i’m experiencing as a first time SFer. It’s frigid!

My boyfriend totally loved this outfit, which just makes me that much happier. Blue on blue with a little sparkle, and a bold lip are all good in my book.

Isn’t this nail polish awesome? It was my girlfriend’s from DC and I took the liberty of borrowing it during a mini manicure session last weekend. She’s just the best.

Hope you’re having a wonderful Tuesday!

Banana Republic Sheath Dress for Summer + Review

Banana Republic dress (in stores only, but very similar here online), Anthropologie pin, Sam Edelman sandals, Target clutch (old, amazing option here)

I wore this new Banana Republic dress in the sweltering heat while in DC visiting my best college girlfriends. We had an amazing weekend filled with brunches, late night talks, girly drinks and lots of laughs. I don’t think i’ve had that amazing of a weekend in a while and i’m so thankful I got to see them. In other news, this dress is wonderful. It is the first of it’s sheath kind in my closet and though it is very basic, when dressed up with a fun pin or a glam hat, I think it is going to be a great staple for Summer.

This particular dress is only sold in stores, unfortunately, but I love the line down the back to give some added interest, and the slight high-low hemline for extra coverage. It is a thick ponte material and has a cap sleeve that was a smidge too tight on my arms, but was easily fixed with a slight tug on either side.

As with any sheath, the dress was slightly roomy in my torso area but hung nicely over my hips. I walked without feeling like it was riding up and felt covered and comfortable all day.

Have an amazing Monday and thank you for reading!

Closet Wish List: Club Monaco Renay Pant

Club Monaco Renay Pant

During a recent shopping trip with my favorite gal, Luci, I popped into Club Monaco and tried on these gorgeous Renay pants. Available in quite a few colors, they fit similar to my J.Crew cafe capri’s and might be a good work alternative. Have any of you tried on these babies? I might just have to give them a go!

Mixing Animal Prints & Larger Than Life Hair

Equipment sweater, Target belt, Ann Taylor curvy slim jeans (here in traditional denim), Chanel vintage flats (obsessed with these), Etsy tassel keychain

Hello lion hair, Batman! My hair is getting seriously thick and curly. I’m secretly obsessed with it but boyfriend thinks it’s time for a trim. In other news, this is so the traditional SF evening outfit. Read: it’s freezing and i’m wearing cashmere in July.

Even though it’s freezing out at nights, I try and keep things a little interesting by mixing animal print patterns (always in the same color family) and wearing my favorite designer flats.

Oh, and how amazing is this tassel! I finally dressed up my keys (mainly so my boyfriend would stop mixing ours up) and ordered this keychain from Etsy.

Thanks so much for reading! And if anyone knows of any amazing hairdressers to tame this mane in the SF Bay Area, please comment below!
