Sole Society Harley

IMG_8696-2

J.Crew scarf (Factory version under $25), Madewell blouse (more options), BDG jeans, Louis Vuitton Speedy 30, Sole Society Harley Stud bootie c/o and 50% off, Prada sunglasses

This outfit is pretty typical of what I wear every day. A basic blouse, comfy jeans and either flats or boots. This time I decided to change it up and try and style a second pair of Spring booties from Sole Society, this time a little more bold with skinny jeans. While I must admit that i’m not as comfortable in this outfit, I do like the concept of booties and jeans.

These booties are admittedly not as comfortable as the Kita’s reviewed a few posts ago. They are a faux material and more stiff, not a walking shoe. But, I do love the three straps across the front and the look of the biker style.

Are there any other booties I should try? Any other styles i’m missing that you’re loving?

Sole Society Kita Bootie

Equipment sweater (here in solid), Banana Republic Scarf (similar and 40% off), Club Monaco dress (updated version), Sole Society Kita Bootie c/o, Tory Burch sunglasses, Kenneth Cole bag (similar), Club Monaco belt

A few weeks ago Sole Society was kind enough to send me a few pairs of booties to try out for Spring time. Not one to be patient, I wanted to figure a way to style these ankle booties for Winter. I decided to go the safe route and hide the ankle length of the bootie under a maxi dress and pair with other muted colors to keep things basic. I’m loving this combo and it definitely helps to ease me into the bootie world.

Remember my review of the infamous Rag and Bone booties? I think the side profile of these from Sole Society is far superior. If you’re looking for a cheaper option, these nude booties also come in black.

The Kita bootie is a manageable 3 inch heel height with a rubber sole, providing extra comfort. The faux suede upper is also comfortable and the side zip makes them easy to get into.

What do you think of the nude bootie? Yay or nay?

Joules Puffer Vest

IMG_8234-2

Joules vest c/o, J.Crew sweater (similar), James Jeans c/o, Jack Purcell sneakers, Prada sunglasses

This weekend was a pretty relaxed one for Cesar and I. We hung around the city, did a few errands and generally laid pretty low as the rest of our friends were off for the holiday. Not being ones to celebrate a ton this time of year, we are opting to escape to Tahoe together for a few days. Skiing, hot chocolate and good food are what’s on the menu for this week. Stay tuned for some gorgeous ski pictures coming your way soon!

In other news, this gorgeous Joules puffer vest will surely be coming with me to Tahoe. It is incredibly warm and not too bulky, and I love the canary yellow color and pop of stripes within. Plus, it has a detachable hood! I’m such a sucker for great details. In fact, all of their vests rock.

Regular posting schedule will be back Thursday. Until then, on behalf of Cesar and I, we wish you a healthy, happy, and joy-filled Christmas season!

Weekend Wear with James Jeans

IMG_2763-2

J.Crew cardigan, Old Navy Basic T, James Jeans Hunter High Rise Straight jean c/o (here in dark wash) (my original full review), Jack Purcell shoes, Tory Burch Sunglasses, LV Speedy 30 bag

Last week I did a full review of James Jeans’ Hunter High Rise Straight dark was jean. I was thrilled with the fit and form of the jeans, but made one note about how the dye rubbed off pretty severely on my skin. To my surprise and delight, I received an email from the James Jeans team just a few hours later explaining the situation with the dye, and offering to send me a “surprise” in the mail in consolation. Just a day or two later, a package with three different pairs of James Jeans showed up at my door. I’m so grateful to the team and love my new jeans! I’m set in the denim department for sure.

The jeans i’m wearing in these photos are the exact same pair that I reviewed last week but in a lighter wash. I don’t own any light wash jeans and appreciate the difference. There are no dye issues and the coloring allows me to play around more with casual weekend outfits and create a slightly more relaxed vibe.

As with last week’s pair, this short girl needs to get them hemmed!

Thank you very much to the James Jeans team for my beautiful gifts. I’m so very grateful!
