BB Dakota Jade Cap Sleeve Sweater Dress

LOFT trench (obsessed w/ this splurge worthy option), BB Dakota dress, SPANX tights, Seychelles Boots (similar, can you tell I love these boots?), J.Crew necklace, Ray Ban aviators

ShopBop sales always get me. Tell me you’ve got 30% off sale and I can’t help but browse. That’s how this BB Dakota dress happened. I picked it up at a ridiculously cheap price and am kind of obsessed with it. I love the way i’ve styled it for Winter but can’t wait to wear it with strappy sandals and beachy waves for Summer.

The length sits just a few inches above my knees which is my ideal length without tights (score!) and has a defined waist. I chose to go belt-less here but I have already paired it with a few belts in my closet and like the look.

Hello lions hair, and, of course, those Ray Ban’s. Obsessed, sorry!

Joules Puffer Vest

IMG_8234-2

Joules vest c/o, J.Crew sweater (similar), James Jeans c/o, Jack Purcell sneakers, Prada sunglasses

This weekend was a pretty relaxed one for Cesar and I. We hung around the city, did a few errands and generally laid pretty low as the rest of our friends were off for the holiday. Not being ones to celebrate a ton this time of year, we are opting to escape to Tahoe together for a few days. Skiing, hot chocolate and good food are what’s on the menu for this week. Stay tuned for some gorgeous ski pictures coming your way soon!

In other news, this gorgeous Joules puffer vest will surely be coming with me to Tahoe. It is incredibly warm and not too bulky, and I love the canary yellow color and pop of stripes within. Plus, it has a detachable hood! I’m such a sucker for great details. In fact, all of their vests rock.

Regular posting schedule will be back Thursday. Until then, on behalf of Cesar and I, we wish you a healthy, happy, and joy-filled Christmas season!

Review: Hush Puppies Velvet Bow Flats for Under $40

DSC_1553-2

Vintage scarf (similar), Tibi blouse (reviewed here), BDG jeans (reviewed here), Hush Puppies flats via DSW

In my world this is what a holiday outfit for the month of December entails. If I could wear some formula of fun bow flats, basic black (with a twist!) and a chunky scarf i’d be a happy camper. I went a bit rogue and decided to pair skinny jeans with flats without pegging them. Admittedly it felt a bit uncomfortable, but i’m all about breaking out of my shell as the new year approaches.

I also plaid around with a new curling iron borrowed from my blogging best, Luci, and love the loose definition it gives my hair.

These bow flats were a steal at my local DSW for a mere $40! They are perhaps the most adorable shoes I own. I recommend you run to DSW to grab them.

Review: Gap Flannel

IMG_7447

Gap flannel (same shirt, different color) (40% off!), BDG jeans (on sale for $39), Banana Republic tank (40% off), Steve Madden boots (on sale for $129)

Guys, everything in this post is on sale. #ILoveCyberMonday. I wanted to do a quick review of an item that is definitely new to me: the flannel shirt. My best girlfriend was in town and her style couldn’t be more different than mine, but she pulled out this blue flannel shirt from Gap and I was intrigued. I kind of love the semi-grunge look and adore how these flannel shirts (from the men’s department) look unbuttoned with a basic outfit. I chose to pair this gorgeous cobalt one with all black jeans, tank and boots and dress it up with lipstick and a gorgeous necklace given to me as a gift.

The look of this shirt is definitely more casual but I think it will be so much fun paired with colored skinnies through the winter.

If you follow me on Instagram you saw this necklace. My girlfriend gave this to me for Hanukkah. It is a repurposed vintage Chanel button, set in a cold plate and put on a gold chain. She picked it up in an antique shop in Paris and I couldn’t love it more. Chanel jewelry for less!
