Crochet Hat and Column Maxi

Sole Society hat, Prada sunglasses, Gap dress (similar in pattern from Target), Seychelles sandals (this season’s)

San Francisco has been having some weird weather. It isn’t quite warm anymore but rather mid-60’s and sunny, still requiring some coverage. To deal with this i’ve been living in my maxi dresses. This old one from Gap is a long time favorite for it’s comfort and ease. Topped with this fun crochet hat and silver-toned accessories, it proved to be a great, casual outfit.

Thank you so much for reading!

Fancy on Top, Casual on Bottom

Vintage blouse (similar), Sweet & Spark necklace, Prada sunglasses, J.Crew pixie pant (clearly a recent obsession), Hunter “Huntress” boots

One of my favorite ways to dress on a more casual day is to mix fancy and relaxed. I pair a silk blouse or nice sweater with pixie pants or stretch jeans and comfy boots. It creates some really interesting contrast and an unexpected twist. On this particular day I opted for my pixie pants (yes, I love them), and my comfy Hunter boots for ultimate comfort.

One thing that I make sure to do when opting for this mixed style is keep my hair and makeup put together. Looking more relaxed on the bottom doesn’t excuse true grunge!

Snakeskin Pants for Fall

Adam Tucker leather jacket (this year’s), Macys pants (very similar), Nordstrom flats (similar), vintage clutch, Prada sunnies

Over a year ago I broke out of my shell and reviewed patterned pants for the first time on my blog. I remember being terrified of what people would think, judging a pearshape, thicker girl on the internet for wearing such outlandish pants on her frame. Fast forward to today and I genuinely love these pants for Fall. I tend to style them with more muted tones (whites, blacks, etc) and adore the streamlined, chic look.

I love the look of black on black on black and upon reviewing these pictures, think i’m going to invest in a few more black pieces to achieve this look again. I’m thinking a black turtleneck next time?

Really loving all of these textures/prints and pops of red.

I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend so far. I’ll be wearing this outfit tonight out with friends in the city. A little snakeskin spice for evening never hurt anyone!

Multiple Uses for Crop Tops

Forever 21 crop top (here in solid, and last styled), ASOS dress (this season’s), Madewell flats, Tory Burch sunnies, Target bag, Revlon gloss

Welcome to my take on Fall weather when it is 85 degrees outside. San Francisco had quite the heat wave this weekend and with all of my Summer pieces generally packed away, I had to improvise. Going with red and berry tones is always a good call so I mixed and matched my favorite items.

I have been getting a ton of wear out of crop tops only because i’ve recently discovered using them as a sort of shrug. I tie them over maxi dresses, for extra covered over tops and under shirts for an extra layer. For $7 this little top has given me quite a few styling options.

And again, berry lipstick! I’m in love. Oh and these earrings from months ago are still a favorite.

And one last moody face for your Tuesday. I’m getting good at those.
