Mixed Berry: J.Crew Cable Knit Sweater + LOFT Curvy Jeans

J.Crew sweater, Ann Taylor LOFT jeans (linked in navy), Sole Society booties c/o, Ray Ban sunglasses

I apologize for the radio silence last week. Sometimes you just need a break and some time to work through life’s events. I promise to give an update soon, once I can bring myself to write it all out. But until then, I want to get back into my normal programming and outfit posting. My best girlfriend from college booked a spur-of-the-moment ticket to San Francisco to hang out with me (love her.) And that came with a lot of walking around and of course, outfit pictures.

This outfit is bolder than I normally go on the color side of things, but I really love how it’s still cozy but also nods towards Spring. I got this sweater from the J.Crew sale for like $12 a few weeks ago and think that the size L I ordered gives this really great baggy fit.

The last time I styled these pants was easily a year ago (see here), and have rediscovered my love for them. With the perfect ankle width and comfortable stretch material, you’ll be seeing a lot more of these as the weather warms up.

A few more pink denim options i’m loving as these are a few seasons old:

StyleMint Phillips Sweater

StyleMint Phillips sweater (more draped options below), BDG jeans, J.Crew belt, Sincerely Jules Celfie t-shirt, Prada sunglasses, Sam Edelman sandals (on sale at Nordstrom!)

This. Sweater. It has literally been on my body morning, noon and night since I got it. The way this came to be is actually even better. StyleMint sent me an email a few weeks ago saying I had credits that were going to expire. Having never shopped any of the Mint brands I perused the website and decided to take a chance on this sweater, something I wouldn’t have normally spent my money on. Seriously, it has proven to be the most versatile thing in my wardrobe. I wear it on weekends over baggy t-shirts, for work over skinny jeans with boots and a nice top, or for nights out under a tighter-fitting blouse.

I was originally hesitant about the extreme drape but find that when belted it has a cool, casual vibe. Even when left open I love to wear tighter fitting stuff and let the sweater just be a baggy top, almost like an overcoat.

I know that not everyone is into buying from the Mint brands so here are some others that look very similar. P.S. yes, i’m wearing sandals in February. San Francisco loves me. Thank you weather gods!

J.Crew Fluted Skirt and Mixed Winter Prints

J.Crew T-shirt, Scarf (similar), Skirt and Boots (this year’s)

So I have a J.Crew addiction. Sue me. Also, Cesar loves this outfit. #Winner. But in all seriousness, I didn’t notice how much this skirt highlights my recent pooch as it does in these photos. In real life I feel much more comfortable wearing tops that tuck into this skirt but these pictures make me look preggo (not preggo, for reference). Regardless, I really like this outfit and appreciate the European feel it has.

Each of these pieces have been true workhorses for me since purchased. This skirt has been styled countless ways and this scarf makes the perfect pattern mix basic. J.Crew boots have also surprised me. While not the most comfortable shoes for long-time wear, they are sleek and serve the purpose for nights out and work days.

What are your thoughts on this skirt? Does anyone else own it?

ASOS Skater Dress, Restyled

ASOS dress (shop newer styles below), Banana Republic vest (last styled here), Ray Ban sunglasses, SPANX tights, J.Crew boots

A simple styling of one of my favorite finds from ASOS. I absolutely love this dress and have had the zipper fixed, the dress dry cleaned and steamed more times than I can count. I have been itching to pick up another color of this sort of skater style (perhaps with sleeves), and listed a few down at the bottom of the post that i’m considering.

A no-makeup face for your morning.

Always having fun while shooting. Hello there!
