A Crop Top and High Rise Jeans

Forever 21 crop top (similar), BDG jeans, Converse sneakers, Prada sunglasses

I’ve styled this crop top with a high-waisted skirt, but never was daring enough to do it with jeans. There is something about your stomach being out in the open, with no covering over the jeans and that freaks me out. But, I received a request to show how I would style a crop top with jeans, so I thought I would share my way of making the trend comfortable for a pearshape.

What made this outfit particularly comfortable for me was the jean choice. These high-rise BDG jeans are bar-none my favorite jeans in my closet. They have the perfect rise, stretch and make me feel thin and amazing every time I put them on. I opted for my Forever 21 crop top as it has a button down (more flattering on the neckline) and ties that hang down in front.

At the last second, I tied this striped pull-over sweater around my waist for extra coverage. You could totally omit this item if you are more bold, but I found it to give a cool, hipster vibe to the outfit as well.

Date Night Outfit: Skinny Jeans and Nude Wedges

Top from Nordstrom Rack (similar options below), James Jeans, Pour la Victoire wedges, Prada sunglasses, Madewell belt, Vintage clutch

A quick hello with the outfit i’ve been wearing for date nights recently. Basic skinny jeans, a tie-front blouse with flowy sleeves and a long back, and nude wedges. I’m always incredibly comfortable and feel pulled together and sexy.

KUT From The Kloth Diana Skinny

Anthropologie sweater, KUT From The Kloth jeans c/o, Seychelles boots (similar for under $100), Necklace from Hunters Alley

KUT sent these jeans to me a few weeks back and honestly, I was a bit hesitant. I heard through the grapevine that they claim to be able to fit anyone’s body, and I was certainly going to put that to the test. I’ve worn these jeans a handful of times and can honestly give a thorough review now that I know how they hold up.

In short, these jeans are so. comfortable. They are super stretchy and hug in all of the right places. They are not quite a full skinny but have a bit of room below the knee, which I appreciate for a scrunched look. One note regarding size: I am wearing a 12 in these pictures but could definitely get away with a 10, and will be ordering a size down in the future.

Just a quickie review of my first pair of KUT jeans. I can’t wait to test out more styles from the brand and review them! Please let me know in the comments below or via email what styles you would like me to try, if any. Thanks for reading!

Mixed Berry: J.Crew Cable Knit Sweater + LOFT Curvy Jeans

J.Crew sweater, Ann Taylor LOFT jeans (linked in navy), Sole Society booties c/o, Ray Ban sunglasses

I apologize for the radio silence last week. Sometimes you just need a break and some time to work through life’s events. I promise to give an update soon, once I can bring myself to write it all out. But until then, I want to get back into my normal programming and outfit posting. My best girlfriend from college booked a spur-of-the-moment ticket to San Francisco to hang out with me (love her.) And that came with a lot of walking around and of course, outfit pictures.

This outfit is bolder than I normally go on the color side of things, but I really love how it’s still cozy but also nods towards Spring. I got this sweater from the J.Crew sale for like $12 a few weeks ago and think that the size L I ordered gives this really great baggy fit.

The last time I styled these pants was easily a year ago (see here), and have rediscovered my love for them. With the perfect ankle width and comfortable stretch material, you’ll be seeing a lot more of these as the weather warms up.

A few more pink denim options i’m loving as these are a few seasons old:
