Recommendation: WildFox Sweatpants

wildfox sweatpants

I genuinely feel like you all and I are buddies, besties, friends, for lack of a better way of saying it. So, as I recommend the most random of items to my closest girlfriends, I figured I would start doing that here. No in depth review, no crazy photos, just me saying that I own this item and am obsessed with it so you should be too. In this case, the item is the WildFox Sweatpant. Take it from me, they have a thick waistband, are the softest thing in the world, and as Cesar says it make you look “hot.” Winner in my book.

Fancy on Top, Casual on Bottom

Vintage blouse (similar), Sweet & Spark necklace, Prada sunglasses, J.Crew pixie pant (clearly a recent obsession), Hunter “Huntress” boots

One of my favorite ways to dress on a more casual day is to mix fancy and relaxed. I pair a silk blouse or nice sweater with pixie pants or stretch jeans and comfy boots. It creates some really interesting contrast and an unexpected twist. On this particular day I opted for my pixie pants (yes, I love them), and my comfy Hunter boots for ultimate comfort.

One thing that I make sure to do when opting for this mixed style is keep my hair and makeup put together. Looking more relaxed on the bottom doesn’t excuse true grunge!

Snakeskin Pants for Fall

Adam Tucker leather jacket (this year’s), Macys pants (very similar), Nordstrom flats (similar), vintage clutch, Prada sunnies

Over a year ago I broke out of my shell and reviewed patterned pants for the first time on my blog. I remember being terrified of what people would think, judging a pearshape, thicker girl on the internet for wearing such outlandish pants on her frame. Fast forward to today and I genuinely love these pants for Fall. I tend to style them with more muted tones (whites, blacks, etc) and adore the streamlined, chic look.

I love the look of black on black on black and upon reviewing these pictures, think i’m going to invest in a few more black pieces to achieve this look again. I’m thinking a black turtleneck next time?

Really loving all of these textures/prints and pops of red.

I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend so far. I’ll be wearing this outfit tonight out with friends in the city. A little snakeskin spice for evening never hurt anyone!

Repurposed Makeup Bag Addiction

J.Crew scarf, Club Monaco blouse, LOFT pants (old), J.Crew flats, Prada sunnies, Estee Lauder (makeup bag repurposed as clutch)

I think I have a thing for make up bags. I get them often as free gifts with purchase and use them way too much as clutches. I just find that they have the cutest patterns and I never feel bad if I scuff them up, lose them, spill makeup in them, etc while I am out because they were essentially free! Maybe i’m nuts.

In other news, I’m also getting quite good at this whole tri-pattern-mixing thing. These polka dot pants have been a staple in my wardrobe and I love pulling them out when I’m feeling like i’m in a wardrobe funk. They add instant style to any outfit and I love the fit.

Cold weather is supposed to be approaching soon in San Francisco so be ready for Fall layers and some new fun cold-weather purchases!

One last completely random question, because clearly I am obsessed with all of your opinions. I am thinking of relaunching email subscriptions as I tend to get many more emails from readers than social media interaction. Would you be interested in subscribing via email and or receiving updates and roundups via email? There would also be some extra content! Let me know below or via email.
