Classic Casual

Brooks Brothers shirt, Madewell belt, Banana Republic jeans, Sperry sneakers, Chanel WOC, Prada sunglasses

Seriously the most casual outfit ever. Hair up in a clip, no lipstick, jeans and a basic button down was my uniform for Saturday walking around with Cesar. If you follow me on instagram (@laurenhaber) you know we went to the most awesome food truck fair in SoMa and loved it more than Off the Grid. Less crowded, live band, win win all around.

As much as i’m in love with my Chanel WOC, i’m in the market for a new handbag and can’t get it out of my mind. For the first time ever I don’t have a true obsession (though i’m crushing on this one). I think i’m leaning towards something leopard? Anyone have any leopard handbag recs?

Mixing Animal Prints & Larger Than Life Hair

Equipment sweater, Target belt, Ann Taylor curvy slim jeans (here in traditional denim), Chanel vintage flats (obsessed with these), Etsy tassel keychain

Hello lion hair, Batman! My hair is getting seriously thick and curly. I’m secretly obsessed with it but boyfriend thinks it’s time for a trim. In other news, this is so the traditional SF evening outfit. Read: it’s freezing and i’m wearing cashmere in July.

Even though it’s freezing out at nights, I try and keep things a little interesting by mixing animal print patterns (always in the same color family) and wearing my favorite designer flats.

Oh, and how amazing is this tassel! I finally dressed up my keys (mainly so my boyfriend would stop mixing ours up) and ordered this keychain from Etsy.

Thanks so much for reading! And if anyone knows of any amazing hairdressers to tame this mane in the SF Bay Area, please comment below!

Wearing a Jersey Maxi

J.Crew gingham top (here in solids), Gap maxi dress (similar), J.Crew belt, Sam Edelman sandals, Prada sunglasses, YSL lipstick

This is seriously one of my favorite new outfits. A comfy jersey maxi paired with longer length button up is cinched at the waist with a thick belt. I mean, could it be any more perfect for San Francisco?

I also love tying this maxi up in the corner. I think it creates more interest and dimension in the outfit and also breaks up the awkward ankle-length that this dress tends to hit me.

See the other way I styled this maxi dress here!

Fit & Flare Made Casual by Jessica Simpson

Prada sunglasses, Jessica Simpson dress, Superga sneakers, Nars lip pencil

A few things: 1) I’m obsessed with this dress. 2) Can we talk about how my legs blend in with my shoes… and the concrete? Someone needs a tan! 3) Sneaks and tennis shoes are the best.

I think I was originally inspired to wear sneakers with flirty dresses from Maegan. This is something she does often and I just love the contrast of casual and sophisticated. My recommendation when doing this would be to wear a dress with a more casual material (read: cotton) but a flirty shape (read: not pencil skirt).

This particular dress is amazing. The shoulders are padded balancing the hips, and the skirt is a full skater but is still long enough to be comfortable. The v-neck is so flattering and the paneled seaming is superb. My only recommendation with this one: don’t eat a huge meal beforehand. My little bump is the result of some yummy home made Chinese!
