Must Have: Express Best Loved Bra Cami

express tank top

For years i’ve loved Banana Republic tank tops. I wore them under most sweaters and tops, and loved the extra coverage and ability to wear them on their own. Until recently. Express (not a site I normally visit), was having a sale and I decided to test out these camis. They come with a built in shelf bra and are a thick cotton material. Guys, they are absolute perfection. They suck everything in and perk up the tatas in a way that is just divine. Get on this!

StyleMint Phillips Sweater

StyleMint Phillips sweater (more draped options below), BDG jeans, J.Crew belt, Sincerely Jules Celfie t-shirt, Prada sunglasses, Sam Edelman sandals (on sale at Nordstrom!)

This. Sweater. It has literally been on my body morning, noon and night since I got it. The way this came to be is actually even better. StyleMint sent me an email a few weeks ago saying I had credits that were going to expire. Having never shopped any of the Mint brands I perused the website and decided to take a chance on this sweater, something I wouldn’t have normally spent my money on. Seriously, it has proven to be the most versatile thing in my wardrobe. I wear it on weekends over baggy t-shirts, for work over skinny jeans with boots and a nice top, or for nights out under a tighter-fitting blouse.

I was originally hesitant about the extreme drape but find that when belted it has a cool, casual vibe. Even when left open I love to wear tighter fitting stuff and let the sweater just be a baggy top, almost like an overcoat.

I know that not everyone is into buying from the Mint brands so here are some others that look very similar. P.S. yes, i’m wearing sandals in February. San Francisco loves me. Thank you weather gods!

Gap Printed Fit and Flare Dress

Gap Dress, SPANX tights, DUO boots, Ray Ban aviators

Towards the end of 2013 I made the decision to change the way I thought about shopping. Running a blog can be quite expensive and can definitely increase the temptation to purchase frivolously. With that, in preparation for changing my habits I opted to spend nothing the entire month of January when it came to clothing or accessories. I did quite well the first 24 days, until I spotted this dress, for 50% off, in my size. All hell broke loose and I succumbed, but I think by these pictures you’d agree it was a worthwhile expense.

I adore this dress. From the stiff cotton material to the flared silhouette and the three quarter length sleeves, it is a curvy girl’s dream. I opted for the bolder blue and black stripe rather than the more Summer appropriate blue and white, but would honestly considering going back for the latter as well.

The dress feels so well made with a hidden zipper and clasp up the back. I am wearing a size 10 here but could have maybe gotten away with an 8, so take note that it does run about half a size big. I love the high neckline as it lends itself amazingly to jewelry, and the length is my ideal at about 3 inches above the knee. This still allows for comfortable wear with bare legs.

While i’m back on my shopping ban, I had to share this amazing steal with you and hope you’ll consider snagging it at Gap’s next blowout sale.

Sole Society Harley

J.Crew scarf (Factory version under $25), Madewell blouse (more options), BDG jeans, Louis Vuitton Speedy 30, Sole Society Harley Stud bootie c/o and 50% off, Prada sunglasses

This outfit is pretty typical of what I wear every day. A basic blouse, comfy jeans and either flats or boots. This time I decided to change it up and try and style a second pair of Spring booties from Sole Society, this time a little more bold with skinny jeans. While I must admit that i’m not as comfortable in this outfit, I do like the concept of booties and jeans.

These booties are admittedly not as comfortable as the Kita’s reviewed a few posts ago. They are a faux material and more stiff, not a walking shoe. But, I do love the three straps across the front and the look of the biker style.

Are there any other booties I should try? Any other styles i’m missing that you’re loving?
