River Island Mono Polka Dot Cami Dress

ASOS Dot Cami Dress, Club Monaco belt, Sam Edelman sandals (similar), Andrew Marc jacket (in brown), Louis Vuitton mirrored handbag

As you’re reading this i’m lounging on a beach in Belize with my best girlfriend from college. We’re sipping cocktails, catching up on each other’s lives and enjoying being still. Part of the fun of these kinds of vacations is the preparing. Shopping for the perfect evening outfits is half of the battle for me, so when I came across this River Island dress on ASOS I immediately had visions of wearing it with heels to dinner, and over a bathing suit on the beach.

I love the ease and freedom of a tank dress with the added interest of contrasting patterns. When paired with a leather jacket it instantly becomes work appropriate.

As you can see the back of the dress has a gorgeous criss cross pattern. This is something i’ll love in Belize but was hidden by my jacket for work.

I’ve linked up with a few of my favorite blogging ladies from Poshmark this week, all sharing how we style black and white outfits. Take a look below!

Anthropologie Column Dress

Anthropologie dress (on sale for under $100!), Andrew Marc jacket (similar), Pour la Victoire wedges (similar), Leopard bag (similar)

Remember how i’m obsessed with bodycon? Anthro put another one of their magnificent, magical bodycon dresses on sale and I had to buy it. The fashion Gods were telling me to own this midi dress. And kind they were, as it’s BANGIN’.

Bangin’? I think yes. Own it, now.

Guess Moto Swing Dress

GUESS moto swing dress (wearing a size 10) (on sale!), ASOS necklace, Steve Madden wedge booties

I’ve had this adorable little black dress for a couple of months, and am just getting around to sharing it with you all. It has become one of my go-to pieces for sexy nights out with friends, or saucy date-night dinners. It is quite low-cut in the front and doesn’t provide a lot of coverage in the arm/back areas, so it is definitely more evening appropriate, but I love the subtle appeal it provides. The dress itself is quite short and I have yet to wear it without some type of tight (sheer or otherwise) underneath. Here i’m wearing my trusty SPANX opaque tights and they provide the perfect amount of coverage for this short length.

Looking at these photos i’m reminded once again how much i’ve been gravitating towards black clothing. For many years I was morally opposed to wearing black. I always felt it was too dark and brooding for my outgoing personality. But as of late i’ve loved the chic simplicity it provides and have no qualms about donning an all-black ensemble.

Also, this ASOS necklace has gotten more compliments over the last few weeks than any other purchase. Definitely a must have.

Have a fantastic week!

ASOS Swing Dress

ASOS dress, CHANEL vintage flats, Alexander McQueen bag, Ray-Ban sunglasses

I ordered this dress during ASOS’ 20% off Memorial Day sale and am so happy I did. It cost all of $25 and is the most comfortable, easily chic piece I own. I love the unexpected turtleneck coupled with the longer length but sleeveless top. It creates a sexy contrast that is just subtle enough to be appropriate for work.

I paired it with basic black accessories and a bold red lip. These Chanel flats elevated the outfit just a touch and were comfortable for all day walking.
