Striped Skater Dress For Work

Gap dress (old, similar), Ferragamo “Vara” pumps, Vintage belt

You’ve seen this dress before, but I wanted to restyle it sans tights and for warmer weather as we head into Summer. Honestly, I couldn’t love this dress more. It has a dramatic shape and the stripes give it some added interest. Paired with my classic Ferragamo Vara’s (still one of my best investments to date), it is a cute outfit that works perfectly for the office or out to dinner.

Once again these amazing photos were shot by my talented friend Erica Garlieb. She is a fantastic new photographer in the Bay Area. Love. Obsessed.

Valentine’s Day Brunch Florals

Ted Baker peplum (last season but this one is amazing and 50% off), BB Dakota dress (worn as skirt)(similar), Sam Edelman sandals (updated version), Prada sunglasses

Cesar and I are starting to talk about plans for Valentine’s Day. We thought maybe we would do a brunch and spend the day walking the city together. Part of my favorite thing about holiday’s are the outfits, so I put together this ensemble as a possibility for that day. I am having a serious moment with peplums and this white dress (a first for me) is proving to be quite the staple.

I hope you’re having a wonderful week!

Ombre Orange + Longer Length Peplum

IMG_0311-2Orange peplum from Paris (similar), BDG Jeans, Wedges from DSW (similar), Louis Vuitton Speedy 30, J.Crew necklace

I told you these jeans would make quite a few appearances on the blog. This time, worn with a top over the high waist, and i’m equally as in love. I’ve had this peplum top for years. When I was in college I studied abroad in Brussels and made frequent weekend trips to Paris to shop. During one of those trips I came away with this stunning rust/orange peplum. It is a bit longer in the back than the front, and hits me lower at my hips than i’m used too, posing a bit of a style challenge.

The top has somewhat of a scooped back, if you can tell in this photo. This creates a beautiful silhouette and doesn’t cut the tush in half at the widest part. I paired it with very tapered, slimming bottoms and basic shoes to keep the attention upward. I also added this gorgeous J.Crew bubble necklace that I scored years and years ago on Ebay for dirt cheap.

One thing about this top is that any bra line or bra spillage shows through. In other words, it is absolutely necessary to wear a complete coverage t-shirt bra. I’m wearing this one and couldn’t recommend it more.

James Perse Anniversary Dress for Everyday

You may remember this dress from Cesar’s and my 3 year anniversary shoot. Made of a lightweight, yet oh so flattering cotton, I love this dress for an evening out or paired with casual Chuck’s and big hair.

IMG_0229-2I swear, sneakers go with literally any dress.
