My Thoughts About Weight: Becoming Comfortable with Weight Gain

Since I started this blog (in early 2012.. whoa!) the number one question i’ve received is around being comfortable with weight. More broadly, people want to know how i’ve learned to be comfortable with my body, as i’ve gained and lost weight over the years.

I’m by no means an expert nor am I always kind to myself around my weight, but I think i’ve made a lot of progress from that 12 year old girl completely saddened by the fact that her thighs touched.

I decided to try my hand at YouTube again and film a video all about my thoughts. Be warned: I ramble a lot and my thoughts aren’t super coherent, but it’s from the heart.

Side note: YouTube is hard! Don’t judge the amateur hour filming, lighting and editing situation.

I’d love for this to be a conversation. How do you cope with weight gain? How do you think about weight?

4 Flattering Ways to Tuck a Shirt Into Jeans

One of the most common questions I get at work and from friends is how and why I tuck shirts into my jeans. I’ve long felt that shirts without some kind of tuck cut the body in half, and create outfits that aren’t quite as interesting.

I’m excited to get into video as a medium, and in this one I walk through four ways I use to tuck two different kinds of shirts into jeans.

My Journey To Confidence

This is a more personal video for me, and has to do with my journey to confidence. This topic has been highly requested by the younger audience that reads this blog and I am so flattered that everyone regards me as a confident person. I have definitely had my fair share of insecure moments but the few things I discuss here have really helped me become comfortable with myself and confident in sharing the images you see here. xx

Video: Evening Hair and Skincare Routine

I have been getting a ton of questions recently about my skin and haircare routine so I thought I would do a little video on my evening routine to start! I have a much more in depth hair discussion I can go into but these are definitely the basics.

One note, I am still learning the video settings on my camera (i’m much more of a photo gal!) so if anyone has any tips about how to clear up the focus (be sure to watch in HD!) I would greatly appreciate it. For reference, I shoot on a Cannon Rebel T3.
