CHANEL Giveaway (CLOSED) ThePearShape Turns 1!

Today ThePearShape celebrates it’s 1 year anniversary. Words cannot describe how much I love this little blog of mine, and how much joy and purpose it has brought to my life. I started this blog as a way to de-stress from my everyday consulting job, and it has quickly turned into not only my hobby, but a social outlet and absolute love. But, perhaps the most important and rewarding part of having a blog (and one focused on body image and fit, namely), are the encouraging and heartfelt emails I get from my readers. Every time I open my inbox and have a note from a dear, sweet young lady, my heart fills with joy and I am so happy that I started ThePearShape a year ago.

As a thank you to my readers I wanted to buy something special, something i’ve been wanting for myself for years, and something incredibly luxurious to be given to one of you: a Chanel scarf.

I came across a version of this scarf a few years ago and immediately dreamed of the ways I would style it: tied over a bag as shown here, around the neck, in the hair. I wanted one in primary colors as IΒ envisionedΒ it acting as the statement piece to any outfit, jazzing up something more casual or bringing the focal point to its location in a dressier ensemble. It is the perfect accessory and something that I truly believe will be a staple in any Pearshape’s wardrobe.

I purchased this particular scarf from LXR&Co as I trust their authentication system and have purchased from them before. As such, this scarf is 100% authentic Chanel, to the best of my knowledge. Furthermore, this post is in no way sponsored by LXR&Co. I purchased it with my own money, and it was not gifted. I simply wanted to do something special for my amazing readers, on this incredibly special day. I would be honored if you would enter this giveaway and allow me to do just a little something as a token of my appreciation, for you. Giveaway rules/entry details can be found at the bottom of this post.

1. “Like” ThePearShape on Facebook, or “Follow” us on Twitter (double entry if both are done!)

2. Leave a Comment on this post telling me how you would style this scarf

This giveaway is open for one week. I will ship anywhere in the world, international readers are welcome to enter! A winner will be chosen at random on the 18th, and contacted for your shipping information.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you to each and every one of you for reading, commenting, sending me the most wonderful emails, and following ThePearShape on this journey. Here is to many more years to come!

I would love to style this scarf very simply, nothing over the top, paired with a lovely beige top or shirt with linen trousers as not to detract the beauty of this scarf. Simplicity at it’s best! πŸ™‚

Congrats on the anniversary! Very happy I found your blog. I follow on FB and Twitter, and I would tie the scarf on my brown leather purse, as you have it here!!

  • Sarah

I love scarves! This is definitely a statement piece. I’d probably keep the rest of the outfit in shades of brown, or even gray like you did, and put it around my neck. Maybe in my hair if I’m feeling extra saucy. πŸ™‚

  • Happy anniversary! Go have a fabulous blogger lunch, you deserve it! I alreadddyyyy like and follow, but I would style that gorgeous baby with white jeans and a simple white T. You’re right- the primary colors make the scarf a gorgeous statement piece, and I think a really clean all-white look would look just gorge with the red and gold. Congrats again, I look forward to reading every day! xxoo Molly

Happy Blogiversary! It has literally been my dream to own 1 piece of Chanel clothing or an accessory in my lifetime, so thank you for this opportunity! I like to think my style is a little more on the edgier side. I would tie this scarf around my neck, and pair it with a bodycon little black dress, my black Jeffrey Campbell spiked heels, slick my short hair back, and swipe on some of my favorite coral lipstick.

I am a silk scarf aficionado… Great way to shake up the basic black work uniform that makes me feel comfortable and put together. So… I’d be wearing a sleeveless black dress or top and skirt with the scarf this summer. Boring maybe, but classic! (I have only purchased one Chanel item before, a pair of black pumps that I sadly outgrew when my feet grew a shoe size during/post pregnancy!) Very much enjoy your blog!

  • I follow on twitter! I would wear it with a chambray shirt and a black skirt to let the neutrals play off the scarf! it’s beautiful πŸ™‚

Its so beautiful!! So many ways you can style it…but I’d start with some cute boyfriend jeans, navy sailor blazer with gold buttons, a blue/white chevron style tee inside, cute wedges and the beautiful scarf tied around my head and my hair up with big gold hoops and a cute red clutch and my trusty MK rose gold watch and bangles. Would totally rock this! πŸ™‚ thank you for your blog!!

I would style this several ways–around the head, tied to a purse, around my neck peeking through a coat, it pretty much adds a dash of chic to anything! Congrats on 1 year from a pear in the heart of Pennsylvania!

I am following you on Facebook (Christina Patterson) as well as Twitter (@clpatters)! I’m a fairly new reader (within the last few months) and I just love your blog! I am pear-shaped myself, so I love seeing how you style all of your different outfits. Also, I have to say, your hair is FABULOUS! Seriously, so jealous of it.

Oh my, that Chanel scarf? I could only dream of owning something Chanel right now. I have a feeling I would dress it up like you did in your second post – work requires a business casual dress code, so I think I would add it to my blazer and dress pant ensembles! Also, I’d love to dress up a tee and jeans with it!

Here’s to many more years of your fabulous blog!

  • Lola

Congrats on your 1 year blogiversary sweetie!!

    OK, so I would style this beauty of a scarf (around my neck) with my;
*White bodycon midi dress (Ivy) by a local British designer,
*A pair of black slingback heels and,
*My feather print peach Kimono from River Island

And I would wear this to my University graduation haha!

    Thanks for the opportunity πŸ˜‰

  • Jennie Hampton

Since I can only wear black, white, and gray to work, I would use this scarf to stand out and brighten up my look. It would help me feel special for sure!
