With the warm weather approaching, I have been doing my best to workout more. I love short skirts and arm-bearing tops during Summer months and I always feel better in both when i’ve at least been working out. I absolutely hate looking gross and disheveled at the gym, or worse, pregnant in a huge shirt, so I take some care in choosing what I wear. Most importantly, my pants have to have a few basic features to help my bottom half look as flattering as possible.
I opt for bottoms with some detail (fun colors, etc) and tops that have a built in sports bra for extra support, and side color blocking to slim. I’m not too particular about the sleeve length but for those that are, this and this are great basics.
However, my single important requirement is a thick waistband. Nothing bothers me more than a thin waistband digging into my love handles or making my belly pour over when doing sit ups. A thick waistband sucks everything in and also helps with the lovehandle situation.
What are your “requirements” when looking for great workout clothing?
