Skirt: H&M (old), Tank: Ann Taylor LOFT, Belt: Shareen Vintage, Sandals: Nine West (old), Bracelet: J.Crew

I have worn this skirt maybe 3 times in the 2 years I have owned it. It is a very light cotton material and tends to blow up in the breeze making it hard to wear. But on top of the material issues, it is flouncy and A-lined, a style I tend to stay away from as a pearshaped woman. Every fashion magazine will tell you that the A-line skirt or dress looks great on every woman; I tend to disagree. A-line skirts add volume to my bottom half (these pictures are proof), and make me feel wider than I am. However, on this particular day I was moving into my new apartment in Charlotte and needed something light and airy to combat the 95F heat.

To pull out the lime in the skirt I paired it with a simple lime tank and added the contrasting blue belt with gold studs to add some interest.

Readers – what do you think of A-line bottoms for pearshapes?
