Top: Target, Pants: Macy’s (sized up to a 12), Flats: J.Crew

I can’t tell if i’ve gone nuts or had a stroke of genius with these pants. To say that I never thought i’d wear snakeskin pants is an understatement. I found these jeans while on a rare shopping trip to Macy’s a few weeks back. I was originally drawn to the subtle pattern and the cut of the pant and figured there was a slim possibility they would be flattering. After trying on the pants in the store with a bunch of different tops and shoes, and examining the fit, I am so excited to incorporate these into my Fall wardrobe.

I styled these pants two ways to show their versatility with patterned and solid tops. Stay tuned tomorrow for the second part!

The reason that I think these pants work is two-fold:

1) the snakeskin is more subtle than other pants I have seen and is in a neutral grey/black making it easy to pair with fun tops

2) the fit of these jeans works for pearshapes. As with my colored denim post, the pocket placement and less tapered bottom makes these jeans more flattering than a standard skinny, and in a print, that is all the more important.

What do you think of the snakeskin pant trend? Would you wear it as a pearshape?

(Be sure to stay tuned for part two of my styling snakeskin denim tomorrow!)
