Banana Republic vest, J.Crew skirt, Theory sweater, thrifted necklace, J.Crew flats

As I progress more in my current job, I am finding that loud and vibrant clothing (such as this pencil skirt) are becoming more inappropriate. Faced with the challenge of toning down my work wardrobe, I have had to find new and creative ways to wear the pieces that aren’t suitable for the office, in more casual settings. This purple pencil skirt is one of the favorite pieces in my closet and I find that it acts almost as a neutral, pairing well with almost anything. I felt very fabulous in this outfit complete with gold chain and fur accents.

This necklace was a find at the Brooklyn Flea Market last time I was in New York and I have fallen in love with it. It pairs well with my other chunky necklaces and even doubles as a bracelet when wrapped properly.

P.S. You may have noticed more indoor photos as of late. My boyfriend and I have had such different schedules that finding time to take outfit pictures has become increasingly difficult. Bear with us as we navigate our crazy work schedules during this holiday season! xo
