Swim Top: Tommy Bahama, Swim Bottom: Onande Mar, Cover Up: Ralph Lauren via TJ Maxx, Sunglasses: Tory Burch last season

One of my biggest issues as a pearshaped woman is finding bathing suits that fit and flatter my body. I have a larger chest (I am a 34DD) and even larger hips and thighs. So finding cover ups and bathing suits can be a challenge.

A few weeks back I went on a Jamaican vacation with some girlfriends and wanted to feel confident and sexy on the beach beside them. I searched long and hard for the right bathing suit and finally found a set that fits perfectly. One of my biggest requirements with a bathingsuit top is that it have an underwire. This provides added support and reduces the likelihood of fall out. I recently ordered this Freya brand bathingsuit top via Nordstrom to have a second option when laying out on the beach. (Freya is a great bra brand so when I discovered they made bathingsuits, I jumped at the chance).

The bottoms were a bit more difficult. My pet peeve is when bottoms push into your sides creating an unsightly muffin top effect. These bottoms from Onande Mar were perfect. They were a fun lobster print, a thick material, and sat on my hips perfectly.

The cover up i’m wearing is a gauzy Ralph Lauren one, that essentially is a rectangular piece of fabric that i’ve tied at the side. This was perfect for walking around the resort and I loved that I could tie it in so many different ways to create different looks.

I will be sure to do a review of the Freya bathingsuit top soon!
