I promise this is the last you will hear me talking about work pants for a while, but I had to share my most recent (and near perfect!) find. On a recent shopping trip to Dillard’s I stumbled across a rack of work pants labeled “curvy.” Not curvy in the traditional plus-size sense of the word but literally intended and cut for women with larger bottom halves. I tried on three pairs and left with the most figure flattering work pant I have found to date.
For those of you that might want to find it in store, the tag looked like this and described the pearshaped woman to a tee. The pants are cut with a higher back rise for a smaller waist, and fuller rear and hips. With a flare leg to balance out the hips and machine washable fabric, I was completely sold!
The fit in the waist was high, the thighs were not too tight, and the pockets in the back are well placed. Worn with just about anything, these are the closest I have come to my ideal pant for work. Success!
