Top: Anthropologie (old), Skirt: H&M (recent), Shoes: Dolce Vita via Zappos, Necklace: Ann Taylor LOFT (old)

Return of the H&M skirt! I wasn’t kidding when I said I lived in this skirt while in Jamaica. It is so light and was perfect to throw on under different tops. This white peplum top was a sale find at Anthropologie over a year ago. The bottom half has an eyelet style, and flares into a slight peplum at the bottom.

I have always been worried whether peplums look good on pearshaped women or women who carry weight in their mid-section. I thought that the flare would add bulk but have found that I feel incredibly comfortable in these types of tops. The nipping at the waist flatters and, in the case of this top, the tie in the back allows for a customized fit.

One more note is in regards to these sandals. Typically, I never purchase sandals or heels that wrap around my ankle at all. Even in nude, I feel like they cut off my already short legs and create a kankle effect. However with these nude Dolce Vita’s I made the exception and think it works well. The strap around the ankle is low enough that it still hits the top of my foot, not truncating my frame. The gold detailing and comfort of DV shoes pushed me to purchase.
